Punk's Not Dead (2007 Movie)

Punk's Not Dead adalah sebuah film dokumenter 2007 yang disutradarai oleh Susan Dynner, seorang penggemar punk hardcore Amerika. Film ini mengklaim menyusup ke klub Amerika, mal, studio rekaman, dll di mana berisi  punk hardcore dan musik pop punk yang "berkembang" dari perspektif Amerika. Film ini menampilkan pertunjukan band Hardcore sebagian besar dari tahun 1980-an dan MTV skate punk dan pop punk / rock. Dan juga wawancara dan behind-the-scenes rekaman band, label dan penggemarnya.

Film ini tidak benar-benar mencoba untuk menjadi bagian tentang sejarah musik punk, melainkan merupakan eksplorasi dari apa punk. Dan kejujuran dalam film ini menyegarkan dan mencakup semua. Jika Anda sedang mencari sebuah film yang hanya membayar upeti kepada pelopor punk, Anda menonton film yang salah.

Saat ia melihat sejarah punk, Dynner secara aktif mengeksplorasi ide-ide dan cita-cita punk. Dan ide-ide budaya pop tentang punk yang diputar di klip lama Donahue, CHiPs dan bahkan band punk terkenal Quincy. Pistols, Ramones, Buzzcocks dan The Clash.
